On November 7, 2006 Horry County voters supported a One-Cent Capital Projects Sales Tax for roads by a 61.4 to 38.6 percent. This program allots over $109 million to pave 100 miles of county dirt roads. A list of the 100 miles of roads to be paved can be obtained here. Horry County has contracted with RPM Engineers to administer Group 1 of the Dirt Road Paving Program. Group 1 consisted of 54 projects totaling 20 miles of roadway. RPM Engineers will work on the county's behalf to ensure that these projects are built on time and with in the allotted budget.
